Cheesy Taco Quesadillas

Cheesy Taco Quesadillas Recipe | Easy Family Dinner

Ingredients

  • 1 Spicito taco seasoning packet (1 oz)
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 1 lb ground beef or turkey
  • 8 small flour tortillas
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar, Monterey Jack or Mexican blend)
  • Oil or butter for skillet (optional)
  • Salsa, sour cream and guacamole for serving

8 small flour tortillas

Directions

  1. Brown ground meat in a skillet over medium-high until fully cooked. Drain excess fat if needed.
  2. Add 1 taco seasoning packet and 2/3 cup water. Stir and simmer 3–5 minutes until the mixture is thick and saucy.
  3. Heat a clean skillet over medium. Add a small amount of oil or butter if you want crispier quesadillas.
  4. Place a tortilla in the skillet, add a handful of cheese on one half, top with some taco meat, then more cheese. Fold the tortilla over to form a half-moon.
  5. Cook 2–3 minutes per side until golden and cheese is melted.
  6. Repeat with remaining tortillas and filling.
  7. Slice into wedges and serve with salsa, sour cream and guac.
