One-Pan Taco Pasta Skillet | Easy Dinner Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 Spicito taco seasoning packet (1 oz)
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 1 lb ground beef or turkey
  • 2 cups uncooked small pasta (shells, elbows, rotini, etc.)
  • 2 cups water or broth
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • Optional: 1 can (10–15 oz) diced tomatoes or tomato sauce
  • Optional: sour cream and sliced green onion for serving

Directions

  1. In a large, deep skillet, brown ground meat over medium-high heat and drain if necessary.
  2. Add 1 taco seasoning packet and 2/3 cup water. Stir and simmer 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  3. Stir in uncooked pasta, 2 cups water or broth, and diced tomatoes or tomato sauce if using.
  4. Bring to a gentle boil, then reduce heat to medium-low, cover and cook 10–12 minutes, stirring every few minutes, until pasta is tender and most of the liquid is absorbed.
  5. Turn off heat and stir in shredded cheese until melted and creamy.
  6. Serve warm, topped with a dollop of sour cream and sliced green onion if desired.
